Pilot Roster Rule Check Info (Beta Mode)

This tool provides general guidance. It has not been tested on a wide audience and may contain inaccuracies. Always refer to the official EA document and the rostering policy for definitive interpretation. This tool flags potential deviations from standard roster rules; some may be permissible if mutually agreed by the Pilot and Alliance Group.

The tool currently checks for the following potential roster deviations:

Early Starts [EA 14.8]: More than 3 consecutive starts before 06:00. (Unless mutually agreed by Pilot).
Early Starts (7-Day) [EA 14.8]: More than 3 early starts in any 7-day period. (Unless mutually agreed by Pilot).
Minimum RDOs [EA 14.11]: Fewer than 8 Rostered Days Off in a 28-day roster period. (Adjusted for leave).
Weekend Off [EA 14.16]: No full Saturday and Sunday RDO block in a 28-day roster period. (Unless mutually agreed, leave days count as off).
Consecutive Duty Tours [EA 14.15]: Two tours each of 6+ consecutive duty days without a minimum of 2 consecutive days off in between. (Unless agreed by Pilot).
Sign-on/off Around Leave [EA 14.17]: Checks for sign-off later than 14:00 before, or sign-on earlier than 12:00 after, a leave block of 7+ days (includes associated RDOs).
Maximum Nights Away [EA 14.54]: Flags trips with more than 5 consecutive nights away from Home Base.
Training After Leave [EA 14.47]: Checks for training/checking duties rostered within 10 days of returning from a leave block of 15+ days.
Rest Before Standby [EA 14.50]: Checks for less than 12 hours rest between a duty's sign-off and the start of a subsequent Standby day.
Rest Periods (Home Base) [EA 14.48]: Less than 12 hours rest between duties at Home Base. (Unless mutually agreed or FRMS applies where greater).
Short Rest Periods (Info): Less than 12 hours rest between duties when one or both duties are away from Home Base. (May be permissible under FRMS, e.g., 10-hour rule).
Data Validation (Excessive Duration): Flags any single duty period that exceeds 16 hours. This is not a formal breach but is a critical warning for potential data entry errors, such as two days of duty being merged into one due to a missing date in the pasted roster. Maximum FDP limits are detailed in the FRMS Manual, Appendix A.

The tool does NOT currently check for:

Grey Day Directed Work: (e.g., being directed to work on a Grey Day outside of assessment/remedial training, or if you have nominated to work).
Specific RDO and Grey Day buffer periods (e.g., 36-hour for 1 RDO, 60-hour for 2 RDOs, etc.).
Any Flight Duty Period (FDP) or Duty Time limitations based on CAO 48 or FRMS.
Any other complex rostering rules or buffers.

Cabin Crew Roster Rule Check Info (Beta Mode)

This tool provides guidance only and is not a substitute for the official EA document. Some rostered duties may be permissible by mutual agreement.

Rules Currently Checked:

Total Applicable Duty: Checks for more than 90 hours of "Applicable Duty" in any rolling 14-day period.
Max Consecutive Duty Days: More than 6 consecutive duty days.
Minimum RDOs: Fewer than 8 Rostered Days Off in a 28-day roster.
Required Unassigned Days: Checks if a 28-day roster has exactly 4 U/A days.
RDO Buffers: Checks for the required 22:00-06:00 (single) or 22:00-05:00 (multiple) duty-free periods around RDO blocks.
Minimum Rest at Home Base: Less than 11 hours rest between duties at home base. (Note: This can be reduced to 10 hours for operational needs, or 9 by mutual agreement).
Minimum Rest Before Reserve: Less than 10 hours rest before a Reserve duty.
Max Reserve Duration: Reserve duties longer than 12 hours.
Max Airport Reserve: Airport Reserve duties longer than 4 hours.
No U/A Days After Leave: Flags if a U/A day is rostered immediately after annual leave.
No Training After Leave: Flags training/checking duties within 7 days of returning from annual leave.

General Roster Information:

Rosters should be made available at least 7 days before the roster period begins.
If no duty is assigned to an Unassigned Day by 18:00 local time the day before, you are not obligated to remain contactable.

Rules NOT Currently Checked:

Minimum Days of Duty: The requirement for a minimum of sixteen duty days per 28-day roster.
Any Flight Duty Period (FDP) or absolute Duty Time limitations (CAO 48).
Pay-related allowances (e.g., Extended Duty Allowance).
